Two Israeli's Killed In An Attack

Palestinian militants burst into southern Israel and killed two Israeli fuel Terminal workers in a surprise attack that sparked Israeli shelling and air strikes in the Gaza strip. Palestinian officials said that six people were killed in the reprisals by Israel, which rushed troops and tanks across the border into Northern Gaza after the attack. Islamic Jihad and tow other smaller armed factions claimed responsibility for the raid at the Nahal Oz terminal across the border from Gaza.
The Nahal Oz terminal is the sole conduit of fuel to Gaza’s 1.4 million residents. Israel condoned off the area, while police and emergency service reinforcements rushed there. Regev made this statement to officials:
“The Hamas attack on the fuel terminal that supplies Gaza its energy shows their total and complete disregard for the civilian population of Gaza”
The Hamas is a holding hostage and hateful agenda the civilian population of both Gaza Strip and southern Israel. Supplies from Nahal Oz were temporarily stopped and Israeli Cabinet Minister Gideon Ezra said Israel should just stop transferring fuel. I agree with this because if this fuel situation is constantly going have people dying, then they should just STOP and worry about transferring fuel to their own people instead of people from different countries because it seems to cause many problems.

Man Pregnant?...How Interesting!!!

Formerly Ms. Lagondino is a transgender person, born female, who had his superficial features medically altered to achieve a more masculine appearance, but kept his reproductive organs intact. He claims he became pregnant five months ago through artificial pills. Some people have expressed that this is a weird situation, and even one of Beatie's own neighbors in Bend, Oregon has been quoted as saying he suspects the pregnancy is a hoax.

This is not the first case of a male pregnancy. There was also this man from India who was pregnant with twins. Sanju Bhagat was walking around with a belly for a few months; he felt self-conscious most of his life about his big belly. Doctor’s were starting to believe that it was a tumor, but one night in June 1999 his problem erupted into something much larger than cosmetic worry. The medical doctors decided to operate and remove the source of the bulge in his belly. Mehta (the medical doctor) said that he could usually spot a tumor just after he begins an operation. But while operating on Bhagat, Mehta saw something he had never encountered. As he cut deeper into Bhagat's stomach, gallons of fluid spilled out and then something extraordinary happened. A set of twins were born

This is a very unusual situation. How often do you hear that a man is pregnant? Not too often, right?

Governor Spitzer Linked To Prostitution!!!

Governor Eliot Spitzer, who is pursuing Wall Street wrongdoing, has been caught on a federal wiretap arranging to meet with a high-priced prostitute at a Washington hotel. According to a law enforcement official and a person briefed on the investigation, the governor has been doing this for a few months now. The wiretap identified a man using the name Client 9 on a telephone call confirming plans to have a woman travel from New York to Washington, where he had reserved a hotel room. The person briefed on the case and the law enforcement official identified Mr. Spitzer as Client 9.

At a meeting with about 100 reporters Governor Spitzer made these 2 statements:
“I have acted in a way that violates my obligation to my family and violates my or any sense of right or wrong,” said Mr. Spitzer, who appeared with his wife Silda at his Manhattan office. I apologize first and most importantly to my family. I apologize to the public to whom I promised better.”

“I have disappointed and failed to live up to the standard I expected of myself. I must now dedicate some time to regain the trust of my family.”

I think that he should resign because he just totally set a bad example as a governor and people will not respect him the same way they used to. Also, he was using tax money to pay for these prostitutes. That is not right to use innocent people’s tax money to pay for unnecessary things such as prostitutes when you have a wife at home. This Governor has a lot of thinking to do.

State Budget Agreements Uprising

Governor Patterson and legislatives leaders said they expect lawmakers to begin passing measures that would increase spending by 4.7 percent. At the same time they were doubling the state tax on smoking to $2.75 a pack and raising education spending by $1.8 billion. Some senators were for this cause and some were not. The total budget according to state leaders could be $124 billion, and Patterson said that the total amount would increase.
Former Governor Eliot Spitzer in January proposed a $ 124.3 billion budget that would have increased by spending 51 percent. The new spending plan does not contain a hike in income tax for millionaires.
The government keeps raising prices on things to get money, but yet they are spending it unnecessary stuff. There are plenty of stuff to fix in this country such as schools, train stations, taxi cabs, etc. But instead they are spending their money on wars. How would you feel if u had to pay extra for items you buy on a regular basis and there is nothing improved about them? I would be upset to know that I am taking extra money out my pocket to pay for things that do not benefit me.

Metro-Card Prices Shoots Up!!!!

By time we know, we will use our whole paycheck to buy a metro card at the rate the prices keep increasing.

The base fare for subway and bus rides will remain at $2. The cost of unlimited-ride metro cards will increase to $81, up from $76, for the monthly, it will rise to $25, from $24, for the weekly pass. The authority is also introducing a new $47 card that offers unlimited rides for 14 days.

Governor Spitzer told the MTA to use the unexpected extra $220 million in the agency's assets to keep the base bus and subway fare at $2, rather than raise it to $2.25 next year, as planned. This raise in transit fare is getting crazy especially since that the trains are not always reliable. There are always problems with NYC transit.

To me personally if the government wants to rise up prices, they need to make improvements with things that deal with our daily commute. They might as well use for the money for something useful instead of wasting it on weapons. They should use this money to improve the platforms, train tracks, the trains itself, the odor in the train stations. If the government don’t do it then who will?

Bush's Domestic Spy Program: Agree or Disagree?

President Bush has ordered a domestic Spy Program to see who are making terrorist plans or communicating with terrorist. I mean that is a good idea, but people’s privacy are being violated which is total disrespect. I personally think he should find another way of trapping these terrorists and their evil plots. Do you agree or disagree? How would you feel if the President and his secret services are listening in on your phone calls and checking your emails, etc., I would feel very violated.

President Bush signed a secret order in 2002 authorizing the National Security Agency to snoop on U.S. citizens and foreign nationals in the United States, regardless of prior legal disagreements against domestic spying. The aim of the program was to constantly monitor the phone calls and other communications of people in the United States who were believed to have contact with suspected links of al Qaeda and other terrorist groups overseas, according to two former senior government officials. Authorities, including a former NSA director, Gen. Michael V. Hayden, were worried that critical information could be lost in the time it took to secure a warrant from a special surveillance court.

Even some of the government officials are disappointed about this decision such as Caroline Fedrickson who said "It's clear that the administration has been very willing to sacrifice civil liberties in its effort to exercise its authority on terrorism, to the extent that it authorizes criminal activity," Fredrickson said.

This is an issue that needs some rethinking because it does not make sense to violate the citizens of U.S.’s privacy and I’m sure President Bush can find a different way to catch these people.
